Google Moved Offline Conversion Imports to the Data Manager API on June 15 — If Your CRM-to-Google Ads Sync Is a Custom Script, Check It

Diagram: ad click, GCLID saved, CRM deal, upload. Google Ads offline conversion uploads moved to the Data Manager API on June 15, 2026

hi, i’m amr. if your b2b leads close offline, in a call or a signed contract, the only way google ads learns which clicks became revenue is you sending it back. google changed how that upload works on june 15, 2026, and that date has already passed.

how the import works, in google’s words

google ads help explains that Google provides a unique Google Click ID (GCLID) for every click that comes to your site from an ad. you save each GCLID with the lead’s details, then later return it to google ads with the conversion type and when it happened. enhanced conversions for leads is described as an upgraded version of offline conversion import that uses user-provided data, such as email addresses, to supplement the imported data.

what changed on june 15, 2026

google ads help says that starting june 15, 2026, offline conversions import and enhanced conversions for leads uploads “will be migrated to the Data Manager API and blocked in the Google Ads API.” the same page says existing users who have agreed to google’s customer data terms are migrated automatically, with no action required. it also says developer tokens that haven’t sent a request from january through june 2026 “will not be allowlisted for legacy access,” and it recommends using the Data Manager API for current and future uploads.

ppc.land, reporting on google’s developer announcement, adds that accounts without prior use get the error CUSTOMER_NOT_ALLOWLISTED_FOR_THIS_FEATURE when calling the upload endpoint. that detail comes from the trade press, not google’s help page.

what to check this week

  • find out how your crm-to-google-ads upload actually runs: a native integration, a connector tool, or a custom script. the first two are the vendor’s job to update, the third is yours
  • if it’s a custom script that calls the Google Ads API, check whether it still uploads and whether it needs the Data Manager API
  • open the conversion action in google ads and check that it still receives uploads, not only that it exists
  • confirm the GCLID is still captured on every form and stored on the contact record in hubspot, because without it there is nothing to send back

where this stops applying

if you don’t import offline conversions, nothing here changes your account, and the better question is whether you should start. if a vendor handles the sync, google’s page says migration is automatic for existing users, so the check above is a confirmation, not a rebuild. i haven’t seen any specific account’s setup, so this is a checklist, not a diagnosis.

start scaling — if google ads is optimizing for form fills while your sales team knows which leads closed, closing that loop is usually the highest-leverage fix. let’s connect.
